UAE NATIONALS TO EXCEL

Apprenticeship Programme

Apprenticeship programmes are approved by the UAE Ministry of Education and are designed to support young talent in building successful and sustainable career pathways in Hospitality, Culinary Arts, and Retail.

What is an Apprenticeship Programme?

An apprenticeship is a work-study programme that combines practical, on-the-job training with structured academic learning at a college. This integrated approach ensures participants gain both knowledge and hands-on experience simultaneously.

How does the programme work?

Selected candidates are employed by a company in the UAE. The employer sponsors the candidate’s enrolment in the Apprenticeship Programme for Emirati Nationals at Dubai College of Tourism (DCT).

During the programme, participants divide their time between:

  • 40% Academic study to gain theoretical knowledge
  • 60% Practical training to apply skills in a real work environment under the supervision of industry experts

Participants are employed under a full-time contract and receive a monthly salary throughout the programme.
