Hospitality Programme

Dubai is home to some of the world's most iconic hotels and is fast developing a reputation for luxury and service excellence. This sector provides incredible opportunities for those with an eye for detail and a flair for service.

Our one-year Certificate programme combines theory and practical education to equip graduates with key skills required to succeed in the industry such as food and beverage service, front office operations and service skills fundamentals.

Upon completion, students can continue their studies with our two-year Advanced Diploma in Hospitality Management in order to master all facets of Hospitality Management.

Course Structure

YEAR ONE | Certificate 4 in Hospitality 25,000 AED

  • Level: 4 (NQF)
  • Credit Hours: 68
  • Duration: One academic year
  • Study Mode: Full-time
  • Intake: Autumn (September)

During the one-year Certificate 4 in Hospitality programme students study core units which provide the fundamental business and academic skills required in any hospitality related position such as; cultural awareness and workplace communication, service skills fundamentals and marketing.

Hospitality students will also study specialised units giving them a broad knowledge about the key components of the tourism sector as well concrete skills to make them work-ready.

Students are also placed on a mandatory 6-week internship as part of the Certificate Level 4 programme.

YEAR TWO & THREE | Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management 25,000AED/Year

  • Level: 6 (NQF)
  • Credit Hours: 132
  • Duration: Two academic years
  • Study Mode: Full-time
  • Intake: Autumn (September)

Upon successful completion of the certificate level 4, students can choose to progress to the Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management programme, which requires an additional two years of study. The Advanced Diploma focuses on teaching students more supervisory, teamwork and leadership skills. You will have the opportunity to tailor your studies to suit your career aspirations through a selection of option modules and complete a longer industry internship placement of 4 months in Year 2, and another 4 months in Year 3.

Students study subjects within the Advanced Diploma such as special interest tourism, leading teams, entrepreneurship and digital marketing.

Progress from Dubai College of Tourism to Edinburgh Napier University (ENU)

Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) is proud to offer students a unique academic progression opportunity through our collaboration with Edinburgh Napier University (ENU) in Scotland, UK. This partnership allows graduates of DCT’s Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management to pursue internationally recognised bachelor's degrees at ENU — either on-campus in the UK or online.

Students can choose from:

BA (Hons) International Hospitality Management -Years 3 & 4, (Study in the UK).

BA (Hons) International Tourism Management - Years 3 & 4, (Study in the UK).

BA Business Management - Year 3 Top-Up (Study Online).

A dedicated application link will provided by ENU for DCT graduates for September and January intakes.
