Entry-Level Hospitality Training

The Entry-Level Hospitality Training Programme by Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), approved by KHDA, equips People of Determination with the confidence, skills and real-world experience needed to begin meaningful careers in Dubai’s growing hospitality sector.

As Dubai expands inclusive career pathways, this programme places dignity at the heart of learning. Training is personalised, enjoyable and accessible, ensuring every participant is respected for who they are and supported for who they can become. Through hands-on, industry-based experiences, learners develop practical skills, workplace confidence and a genuine sense of purpose. Our approach nurtures independence and prepares participants to take their place in the workforce.

Course Duration: 1 year

Term 1: Food and Beverage

  • An Introduction to Hospitality.
  • Food and Beverage Service.
  • Food and Beverage Preparation (Barista training, Culinary experience, Mocktail making)
  • Basic Food Safety (Training and Certification)

Term 2: Rooms Division and Events

  • Service Skills Fundamentals
  • Front Office Operations
  • Housekeeping Operations
  • Introduction to Events

Term 3: Career Transition and Employability

  • Excel in the workplace (Financial literacy, professionalism, teamwork, communication).
  • Personalised CV and internship placement support.
  • Goal Setting and Employment Profile.
  • E-portfolios.
How is the Training Delivered?
  • Hands-on and experiential learning.
  • Small group instruction with tailored support.
  • Visual aids, role-playing, and task-based learning.
  • Step-by-step instruction to develop skills and understanding.
  • Structured worksheets and visual schedules.

 

Who is this training for?

Youth of Determination (Ages 18+) preparing to enter the hospitality industry.

People of Determination with mild cognitive intellectual differences who have completed schooling and seek additional training and employment opportunities.

What will the training cover?

  • An introduction to hospitality.
  • Food and Beverage Service.
  • Food and Beverage Preparation (Barista Training, Health and Safety, High Tea Preparation).
  • Excel in the workplace (Financial literacy, professionalism, teamwork, communication).
  • Industry visits.
Course Duration

One full academic year with three hours of instruction per day plus a one-hour social break.

Start Date: 24th August 2026

Price: AED 45,000 (AED 15, 000 per term.)

STEP 1: INQUIRE

  • Our admissions team will answer any questions you may have. They will also collect information about your specific learning needs.
  • If you then wish to apply to the Entry Level Hospitality Training, you will be sent an application form via email.

STEP 2: INITIAL MEETING & SCREENING

  • On receipt of the completed application you will be invited with your family/support to visit Dubai College of Tourism to attend an interview to evaluate if the course is the right fit for you.
  • Following this, you will be informed by email if you will be offered a place on the course.

STEP 3: ENROLMENT PROCESS

  • When accepting the offer you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of 7,500AED to reserve your place within 15 days.
