Dubai College of Tourism (DCT) is an initiative of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism). It is a government-backed college dedicated to educating and empowering the future leaders, entrepreneurs, and employees of Dubai’s expanding tourism industry.
DCT aims to be recognised as the premier vocational institution in the region and is committed to nurturing and educating human capital within the tourism, hospitality, retail and events industries. Its courses will bridge the gap between in-house training and a full bachelor’s degree, ensuring a steady pipeline of highly trained tourism professionals for the city.
DCT’s focus is on crafting courses specifically designed for those working within the industry, providing foundation, certificate and diploma courses in tourism, hospitality, retail, events and culinary arts through the TVET accreditation framework.
In addition to the support of the industry and Dubai Tourism, what sets us apart from other educational institutions is our focus on the future careers of our students. DCT prides itself on providing a vocational education, where the focus is on real-world skills and their practical application, rather than just classroom theory. We exist in order to give our students the knowledge and practical training they require to play a meaningful role in the tourism industry. Working internships are a feature of every course, and help to empower our students with the confidence and experience needed to succeed in their chosen career.
DCT represents the interests of our students and the tourism industry in Dubai. In order to meet the needs of both learners and our student’s future employers, our advisory council comprises industry professionals from each of our five faculties. They have been involved in the development of the college curricula and remain active and connected throughout the learning process.
