Summer Culinary Experience for High School Students
What to Expect
Over four engaging days, students will take part in a mix of:
- Live cooking sessions.
- Team challenges and activities.
- Industry exposure and guest interactions.
- Creative food preparation and presentation.
Programme Details
Duration: 4 days (Monday to Thursday)
Dates: 13th – 16th July 2026
Timings: Monday – Thursday (9.00 am – 3.00pm)
Age Group: Grade 9 to Grade 12 students (14 to 18 years old).
Cost: AED 1,000 (Includes lunch)
Location: Dubai College of Tourism, Meydan Campus.
*A minimum number of students is required.
Programme Overview
Day 1: Introduction & Industry Experience
- Discover Dubai’s vibrant culinary scene.
- Introduction to food safety and kitchen basics.
- Fun team-building activities and games.
- Meet a Guest Chef of the Day.
- Guided tour of a professional kitchen.
- World Cuisine planning session.
Day 2: American Cuisine
- Build your own burger (meat preparation, seasoning, shaping).
- Cook and assemble burgers.
- Prepare buffalo chicken wings.
- Learn frying techniques and sauce glazing.
- Make garlic sauce and ranch dressing.
Day 3: Italian Cuisine
- Create your own pizza from scratch.
- Learn dough handling and topping combinations.
- Make handmade fresh pasta.
- Explore pasta shaping techniques.
- Prepare classic tomato, cheese, and basil sauces.
Day 4: World of Desserts
- Bake chocolate and vanilla muffins.
- Learn essential baking techniques.
- Prepare vanilla buttercream.
- Design and decorate your own cupcakes.
- Make churros with chocolate sauce.
- Learn dessert plating techniques.
