Introduction to the Tourism Industry is a preparatory course, which equips students with the basic and necessary skills to succeed in the tourism industry. It includes a two-week internship, practical sessions and interactions with industry professionals.
It is the first step into the exciting world of tourism and service delivery, and has been designed to give students an introduction into each of the five specialist areas of Tourism Management, Hospitality Management, Retail Management, Events Management and Culinary Arts.
This programme carries a two-week internship, and equips students with the skills, knowledge and competencies to take on a customer service role in any sector.
There is a strong practical focus on the areas of Communication, Teamwork and Problem Solving. You will also discover Marketing, IT, and Workplace Numeracy, and other subjects vital to the industry.
